Our Commitment |
Energy Efficiency

Traditional energy supplies are depleting. Moreover, the ability to secure such diminishing supplies has become increasingly harder to do – partly because of the problematic regions in which these supplies originate, and partly because of escalating demand by transitioning countries like China that are industrializing at a rate of 50 million consumers per year. As a result, the shrinking of energy supplies has left consumers with the burden of higher and more volatile prices.
It is simple to suggest that the solution to this problem is to discover new energy supplies. And that these new supplies – with special emphasis on there sustainability – should be discovered in territories that are not problematic and that are not subject to foreign competition. Citizenre believes that photovoltaic power is doing just that. But Citizenre also believes that that is not all that can be done.
We could learn how to utilize our energy more effectively.
At the consumer level, customers could learn how to reduce the amount of energy wasted in the home or at the office by proactively managing their consumption behavior. It is also possible for them to gain financial benefits from shifting peak usage to off-peak usage, or entering into demand-side management programs that reward them for scaling back usage at the request of the utility. All that is required is the delivery of sufficient information. By receiving timely signals about rising electricity costs, or by revealing precise customer usage, or unmasking the varying costs of peak and off-peak, and exposing service line items, customers can make adjustment to their energy use and efficiency.
This same information can be leveraged by the suppliers to respond to system-wide fluctuations and sporadic behavior in the grid. Electricity service providers will have the ability to make more informed decisions in regards to power purchases and infrastructure improvements; the utility will be capable of smoothing energy costs and deferring investments by working with consumers to reduce peak loads.
Citizenre envisions a highly intelligent energy infrastructure. As it carries out its purpose, Citizenre is committed to modernizing global energy infrastructure utilizing enabling technologies that make energy efficiency possible.
Energy intelligence will aid consumers in conserving energy.
